7.45 am – Meet your Tour Guide at The National Stud before departing to Warren Hill.
8.00 am – A guided tour of the famed Newmarket training grounds. See some of the town’s equine residence going about their daily exercise and learn about the history of the gallops, how they came to be and their use today.
9.00 am – Go behind the scenes of one of Newmarket’s racing yards. See what daily life in a stable is like and learn all about what it takes to get a horse ready for the races while seeing some of the routines and facilities on offer.
10.00 am – Morning Coffee and Cake
10.30 am – Enjoy a tour of The National Stud. This is your chance to see the impressive stallions residing at the 500-acre stud. Meet mares and foals as well as retired National Hunt legend Lord Windermere. Learn about the formation of The National Stud and the role it plays today.
12 noon – Depart

8.00am Meet your tour guide outside the National Horseracing Museum.
8.10 – 9.00am Spend time on the famed Newmarket training grounds watching some of the town’s 3,000 equine residents go about their daily exercise. Learn about the history of Warren Hill and the links to the Royal family.
9.10 – 9.50am Go behind the scenes at one of Newmarket’s racing yards. Learn more about the daily routines.
10.00 – 10.20am Enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits at the Heath Court Hotel
10.30 – 12.00pm Guided tour of The National Stud. Learn about the history and role of this 500-acre stud farm. See the stallions and meet some of the mares, foals as well as retired National Hunt legend Lord Windermere.
12.10pm Arrive at the National Horseracing Museum where you will receive a £6 lunch voucher to be redeemed at The Tack Room restaurant. Enjoy time at your leisure at the museum until the site closes at 5pm (4pm in winter).
Take in the daily demonstrations at the Retraining of Racehorses yard, examine a fantastic collection of British Sporting Art and learn all about the history of horseracing.

Public tours of the National Stud run from mid February to the end of October, on Fridays (am only), Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays, starting at 10:30 am and 1.30 pm and lasting approximately 90 minutes.
The tours are conducted both by mini bus and on foot.
Meet outside The National Stud entrance 15 minutes before your scheduled tour departure time.
There is ample free parking on site.
Season re-opens on 16th February 2024 with tours running every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday through until October.

7.30 am – Meet your tour guide at the Heath Court Hotel and then head to Warren Hill where your guided tour of the famed Newmarket training grounds begin. Learn about the significance of the vast expanse of Jockey Club land and about the role the various training gallops play in getting a horse fit for the races. This is where you will see some of the town’s 3,000 equine residents going about their daily exercise. Learn about the area during World War II and the history around how Warren Hill came to be and the links to the Royal family.
9.00 am – Arrive back at the Heath Court Hotel where you will enjoy a hearty breakfast.
